RSA Conference 2012, San Francisco — Counterfeiting and cloning are taking a tremendous toll on makers of popular high-end brands in lost revenues, and also in jobs lost and company reputation. The IACC (International Anti-counterfeiting Coalition) estimates that brand holders lose approximately $600 billion of revenue annually due to counterfeiting.

At the RSA Conference, Inside Secure will demonstrate a simple, single-chip solution that provides luxury goods makers with banking-level security to protect their brands. INSIDE’s VaultIC solution family enables manufacturers, retailers and consumers to identify, track and trace counterfeit products using an ordinary NFC-equipped smartphone.

Representatives of Inside Secure will also showcase other solutions based on INSIDE’s portfolio of secure semiconductors, including:

  • FIPS140-2 security level turnkey PKI solutions, based on the VaultIC product line, ranging from low-cost USB eToken-based solutions to security systems with firmware and Common Criteria EAL4+ hardware.
  • Turnkey solutions for dual interface, contactless, and contact smart card readers; and
  • Contactless very high bit rate microcontrollers optimized for transport applications with high security and accelerated data transfer between cards and readers for high volumes of data.
