Inside Secure ENABLES SECURE DELIVERY OF HIGH-VALUE VIDEO CONTENT ON NEW BLACKBERRY 10 DEVICES
Downloadable DRM Fusion Agent Speeds Delivery of HD Movies, TV and More on Latest Mobile Platform and Reduces App Development Time and Cost
AIX-EN-PROVENCE, France, March 13, 2013 – Inside Secure (NYSE Euronext: INSD) today announced the commercial availability of its downloadable DRM Fusion Agent for the BlackBerry® 10 platform. With this release, Inside Secure makes it possible to deliver high-definition movies, television shows and other premium content on the BlackBerry 10 platform using the same proven DRM technology that industry leaders such as HBO, NTT DoCoMo, Orange, and many others, already use to provide anytime, anywhere viewing on millions of mobile devices around the globe.
“With our support for the new BlackBerry 10 platform, mobile operators and content providers will be able to very quickly and cost-effectively deploy high-quality, high-value media to BlackBerry 10 customers,” said Dr. Simon Blake-Wilson, INSIDE vice president of embedded security solutions. “We have used our deep expertise in DRM content protection and embedded security to develop a DRM solution based on innovative, proprietary technology that we have now optimized specifically for BlackBerry 10, providing a quick channel to what promises to be a vast user base that is eager to consume rich media content.”
The INSIDE downloadable DRM Fusion Agent software allows protected high-value content to be distributed in a single, uniform and secure way to all supported platforms and devices. Operators can more quickly deploy secure content services and support a variety of business models, including ad-supported and pre-paid services, dramatically reducing DRM implementation costs and time to market. It also enables media companies and high-value content providers to more quickly achieve revenue from service deployment by eliminating the dependence on mobile phone and device manufacturers to embed DRM protection.
“Video content and other digital media are an integral part of the rich mobile experience offered in BlackBerry 10,” said Martyn Mallick, vice president, global alliances at BlackBerry. “People want easy and convenient access to their favorite music, movies, and TV show applications and services, and the Inside Secure solution will allow our content partners who require DRM to build that level of content protection into their applications, quickly and easily.”
DRM Fusion Agent software offers developers the critical Microsoft PlayReady, Windows Media DRM, OMA DRM 2.X, and/or UltraViolet security they need in their mobile apps to enable premium content to be played on BlackBerry 10 devices. DRM Fusion Agent software provides content protection and packaging, licensing and key management for multiple mobile device platforms and operating systems.
