6 JUN 2013

AIX-EN-PROVENCE, France and LITTLETON, Colorado, USA, June 6, 2013 – INSIDE Secure (NYSE Euronext: INSD) and CPI Card Group (CPI) today announced that two new jointly developed M/Chip™ Advance EMV card products have been approved by MasterCard. The two products offer capabilities specifically designed to meet the unique requirements of the U.S. market. In support of issuers wishing to use these products, Datacard Group is offering complete turnkey hardware and software personalization solutions, as well as personalization scripts.

EMV is a standard for globally interoperable secure payments, and its coming deployment in the U.S. represents a significant move towards an enhanced payment ecosystem.

“Our well proven secure microcontroller module at the heart of thesenew EMV products from CPI marks INSIDE’s entry into the U.S.EMV payment market,” said Bernard Vian, executive vice president for the Secure Payment Division at INSIDE Secure.  “We have worked closely with CPI, MasterCard and Datacard and incorporated the expertise and experience of these payment card industry leaders to ensure that these newproducts will meet U.S. issuers’ expectations and make their migration as easy as possible.”

These new card products give issuers the greatest flexibility in migrating to EMV.  One product has been optimized to support online-only EMV card programs, while the other supports both online and offline payment transactions.  Both products can be supplied on cards with gold and palladium contact plates for greater aesthetic choice, with either six or eight contacts.

“As the U.S. market migrates to the use of EMV cards, we are excited to have these two additional products included within our EMV portfolio,” said Diane Jackson, vice president of Business Development and Strategic Marketing at CPI Card Group.  “We continue to extend and enhance our product offering for U.S. card issuers with a complete card solution to facilitate their migration to the EMV standard and any additional assistance they may require in order to ensure the smoothest transition possible.”

“We are pleased to be working with INSIDE Secure and CPI on providing U.S. issuers with a complete EMV solution to meet their migration needs,” said Russell St. John, senior vice president of global marketing for Datacard Group.  “MasterCard and other networkshave recently announced roadmaps for the adoption of EMV in the U.S., and now issuers have a choice of EMV card products from leaders in the industry as well as proven personalization solutions to help ensure the success of their migration.”

“This milestone by INSIDE Secure and CPI represents another step toward the successful migration to EMV in the U.S.,” said Carolyn Balfany, senior vice president, U.S. Product Delivery for MasterCard.  “We celebrate our strong partnerships with these global experts.  Based on our deployment of EMV in more than 130 countries, we believe issuers, merchants and consumers will benefit from the enhanced functionality and security features of this technology whenever and wherever they shop.”
